International Federation of American Football (IFAF)
The brief
The International Federation of American Football (IFAF) is seeking to become a more recognised member of the international sporting community by earning recognition from the International Olympic Committee (IOC). In 2005, IFAF became a full member of SportAccord (formerly known as GAISF) and in 2007 it launched a new membership development programme that aims to strengthen the quality of American Football in emerging countries. IFAF membership has increased to a total of 59 countries governed by five continental federations. In an effort to continue this expansion, IFAF has asked TSE Consulting to conduct research on the perceptions of the IFAF and of American Football among international sports leaders and to develop a strategic plan based on this analysis.
Our response
The research and the report written by TSE Consulting aims to become a strategic resource for the international federation, by providing information, assessing current positioning and recommending pathways to greater importance within the international sports context. The report will be measured against other international federation analyses with support from various case studies. TSE Consulting has a wide-scale understanding of creating a strategic plan to develop global recognition for international organisations, based on its years of experience working with various international federations and national associations around the world. TSE will focus on the specific needs of IFAF and the social context of the sport to develop a strategic plan that will further IFAF's global reach.
