TSE Consulting Congratulates Scandinavia 2023

TSE extends its congratulations to our long-term client, Sport Event Denmark and the Handball Federations of Denmark, Norway and Sweden on their successful bid to host the 2023 IHF Women’s World Championship.

The IHF Council announced their decision at the Board Meeting in Paris, France this past weekend. The winning Scandinavia 2023 bid saw off strong competition from Hungary and Russia (Russia withdrew from the race in the final days).

TSE Consulting provided support throughout the bid process, consulting on the overall messaging and final presentation made to the IHF Council in Paris. TSE has also assisted Sport Event Denmark and the Danish Handball Association in previous years helping to win the rights to host the 2019 Men’s Handball World Championship in Germany and Denmark.

Lars Lundov, Chief Executive Officer at Sport Event Denmark said, “We thank the IHF for their confidence in bringing the 2023 IHF Women’s world Championship to Scandinavia. The team has worked hard and we are delighted that our commitment has paid off, together with our partners TSE Consulting we are very happy with the result. We are looking forward to welcoming the world of handball to Scandinavia in 2023.”

Tanya Heimlich-Ng Yuen, Senior Consultant at TSE Consulting said, “We are very happy for our clients. Scandinavia has the knowledge, experience and resources to both develop women’s handball and host an incredible event in 2023. It will be an exciting time in the lead up to this great event!”
