Buffalo Niagara Sports Commission has appointed TSE Consulting to provide strategic direction to its sport tourism initiatives

The Buffalo Niagara Sports Commission has selected TSE Consulting to assist in the development of a comprehensive strategy for identifying, attracting and hosting important sports events, conventions and conferences.

Building upon a strong track record of major event successes, future events for Buffalo include the 2015 NHL Combine, 2016 NHL Draft and the 2017 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball First/Second Rounds.

TSE Consulting provides strategic advice to cities seeking to use sporting events to enhance economic development and provide social benefit. Its North American office in Indianapolis will provide leadership for the project.

Patrick Kaler, president and CEO, Visit Buffalo Niagara said: “Buffalo is a dynamic and vibrant city, with iconic professional franchises, state-of-the-art venues and a new energy created by over $1 billion in recent development. We hope to continue to attract great events to our city and region and at the same time optimize their economic impact. We are pleased to work with TSE Consulting to formulate a long-term strategic direction that will best serve our community.”

Dale Neuburger, Director, TSE Consulting – North America, said: “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Visit Buffalo Niagara and the Buffalo Niagara Sports Commission. With a comprehensive and progressive sports event bidding and hosting strategy, and based upon several recent domestic and international events, the Buffalo Niagara Sports Commission can bring even greater economic vibrancy to the area and demonstrate the many ways that sports bring communities together.
